Seen dog: 12/18/2014. Medium size, white with spots.
Saw a stray dog, medium (20-30 lbs) with short white fur and small black spots, in the fields by Russell and 113. Seen at 12/17 around 9:30am and 12/18 around 8:15pm in the same location, near the bike path construction site, then it ran away into the fields. No visible collar. Called Yolo County Animal Services to report as well.

FOUND DOG: 11/3/14 at Arroyo Park
Saw a seemingly ownerless dog in the north side of Arroyo Park near Patwin on Nov. 3rd, 2014 at around 10pm, didn't get the best look at it but I'll attempt to describe what I saw: -kinda shaggy -Lighter colored underbelly, darker head and back -Smallish to medium size -Headed in the direction of the traffic circle on that side in the middle of Shasta Dr. -Sounded like it had a name tag jingling as it walked -Was a bit skittish of my dogs, was willing to greet them but wouldn't stick around

FOUND CAT: 7/20/2014. Black and white, probably a neutered boy NOT microchipped
Found at dusk (around 8pm) 7/20/14 in the North Davis Green Belt right next to Jalisco. I think he is a neutered boy but I could be wrong, he is pretty fluffy so it was hard to tell. Sweet affectionate full grown cat, not very chatty. No extra toes, clearly a beloved pet that is now a little skinny and dirty. One arm is mostly white the other had a black patch near the elbow, black tail. I have many more pictures, email me if interested. (feycooper@ gmail .com) We thought he looked like Indiana (another missing cat) and when we returned him the owner said it was not Indiana. We took him to VetMed and they scanned him for a chip but found nothing, and he had no collar. We released him back where we found him with some food.

SPOTTED SIX CATS: 1/10/14 - 1/14/2014. Cat colony at east end of Arboretum
While biking the Davis Loop, I spotted these two cat friends, who were relaxing together in the sun. Are they wild, are they lost, are they at home around there? I don't know. But maybe somebody recognizes them as their own? It was at the end of the Arboretum towards 'Rocknasium'. It's directly behind the new location of the Davis Flea Market. Come to think of it, on another point of the Davis bike loop, maybe a couple of weeks ago, loop I saw a very sad, light haired cat, he was incredibly! lean, you saw all his bones :-(, and exhausted. I didn't know what to do, as I don't want to catch a cat like that (we can't take a cat in our house). I mention this, because I think it's very sad that people lose their cats like that. Because I bike a lot in Davis (about 4- 5 times a week) I see cats without identification all the time and I think it's better to keep them inside. Better for the birds as well. I think it should be enforced by law that all cats wear identification.
Tail piece 1/13/2014
Today when I biked by again, I saw the two cat friends again, now cozy socializing in the pipe, and a third, gray cat was joining them. Obviously these cats live here, so anybody looking for them, can find them here.
Tail Piece 2 - 1/14/2014
I biked by again and this time had my Canon with me. Unfortunately, no sharp photos again. It's like I thought, there are even more cats living there in a group. I took photos of 6 different ones (see all pics and compare closely) now. I suspect there even are more than six. I will keep an eye on them. These cats look good enough, but wear no identification and are very on their guard. Who knows if they belong to somebody?
There have been feral cats living there for ever and a day, they want nothing to do with humans. totally feral. Some of them have punched ears, others don't. The kittens have gotten bigger as well, they are almost cats now. ~SD
- @ SD: Ah, so you knew abut this place? But what about the all grey cat (pic 2, 5 and 6) and the very big cat (in pic 3); could it be that they have joined the group? I see two cats in the 'Lost' section with the names "Nugget" and "Belchik", and it could well be them? CO

I found this cat Friday morning in my yard.I live off of Lake, near Covell Blvd. I saw him again Saturday and Sunday. He has probably been on his own for a bit since he is a bit dirty and skinny. I found this cat while looking for my own lost cat. It's living in the bushes near the Teichert facility at Road 29 & Sycamore. I tried to catch it, but it bolted when I tried to get it into the carrier. Seems healthy and not too many mats in its long hair, which makes me think it hasn't been out there very long. Updated 2/13/14. Cat missing from Nov 22. Last seen in parking lot of Davis Christian Assembly Church (at Sycamore). Three women in their 20's were seen by a neighbor trying to catch him, and then he was gone the next day. They were driving a white SUV wagon. Maybe they thought he was a stray. The cat is black and white, all white legs and feet. Polydactyly (has extra toes). Small section of hair on all-black tail missing from a previous injury. Green eyes. The cat disappeared before I could take a picture of it, I saw it in the Northern Parking Lot of the Colleges at La Rue, closer to the main curb than the back area of the parking lot. Seemed to shy away from human contact and hid and/or ran before I could get my phone out to take a picture of it. Seen at 11:00 AM. Has been seen around house in NE Woodland for the past 2 weeks. DSH, small, young adult. Today brought out litter of 4, 1-2 week old kittens. Mom & babies are currently in a home in Davis to protect from heat, will stay until we either find her family or babies are weaned & in new homes. Extremely well socialized, small, light blue, parakeet was found today at the Hickey Pool on the UC Davis campus. Not sure of the sex, but it has an ankle bracelet. I will post a picture tomorrow. I've also reported the bird found to the police department and will try to drop it off at the Yolo County Animal Shelter tomorrow or Monday. The cat appears to be a young, neutered male.
He has a medium-length grey/brown tabby fir. He has a clear white mark up his nose, and a bit of white on all of his paws.
He is small and lean, but fit, and he has an outgoing personality.
He did not have a collar, but he is microchipped. *We have tried repeatedly to contact his owner, but have received no return call.

Found this friendly cat in downtown Davis on the evening of March 27th. The cat is incredibly friendly and playful, and is fairly well kept. I assume it is a male, though I could be wrong. It is a tuxedo cat with a black tail that has a white tip. The cats underbelly is white along with its paws. It is quiet around people, but gets vocal when left alone. A white cat with black spots and tail has been found on Anderson Rd, just past Russell Blvd! White paws, black tail, a large black splotch on both its ears, the one on the left being larger than the one on the right. Also has one behind its left ear. HAS A COLLAR, but no tag. Has not been checked for a microchip yet. Pink nose. Extremely friendly, has no fear of humans, and eats and sleeps inside the house, but goes outside to relieve itself, instead of using a litter pan (the litter pan has the smell of another cat though, which might play a factor in that?). This cat has been wandering around the neighborhood for the last few weeks, and seems to have no owner as it has been sneaking into our house and eating the food. I only put this description here because I saw a lost cat sign that had a picture that looked like this cat, but the sign has since been removed so I can't contact the person who made it. Lost Female Tabby Cat
Maya was last seen 1 and a half years ago (May 2010) on Bianco Ct (near Covell and Anderson) in north Davis; She is a 6 year old, black, brown, and white tabby, and has a microchip. She is distinct from other tabbys, as she has black swirls on her sides (not only vertical stripes). She also has white on her chest, tummy, and tops of her feet. She has pink pads.
She could be anywhere by now, and possibly with someone who doesn't even know that she is missing. We rescued her and her brother (George), who we still have, 6 years ago. They were inseparable - playing, cleaning and sleeping together all the time, and it is obvious to us that he changed when she disappeared. We still wish that she will somehow make it home through some miracle, like someone scanning her and finding out who we are. He is very sweet but also very timid and submissive which leads me to believe he may have been mistreated at some point in his life. Small Himalayan. Very scared and is hiding in my garage, but eats, drinks and uses the litter box provided. Found in my garage in Mace Ranch subdivison and I think has been in my garage for a month or so. It just came out of hiding last night and we were able to get a good look at it. There was a mostly black stray cat on Veterinary Medicine Dr. tonight. It laid down as I approached, and I could see a touch of white on it's chest, and maybe on it's head. It got spooked as another car drove up and took off toward the arboretum. It was a short-haired or medium-haired breed, smallish (5-7 pounds???). Seemed shy, but didn't seem feral. FOUND BROWN AND WHITE DOG IN SYCAMORE PARK 1/1/10
This large dog started out in Sycamore Park around 2:00 PM, crossed 113 on the bike bridge, then went into bushes slightly north of there, near Rio Grande. It limped, never ran, and may have an injury to the left hip. I have not seen it since around 2:00 PM, but the Davis Police are looking for it.

Unfortunately, the cat was dead. On Westbound W. Covell, about 2/3 on the way from Anderson to Sycamore, in front of Almondwood Apartments. I left her in the median strip, off the pavement. Found about 5:50pm, appeared to have been recently killed. Black medium-short hair, white paws/neck, no collar. Looked female, probably only a few years old. If it is your cat, I'm sorry; if you go to retrieve her, be careful of the cars.

FOUND Female Choc Lab in West Davis April 10th, 2008
Hey everyone! I really hope you can help me find this girl's home! We found her today wandering the Arroyo Park in West Davis around 7pm today. No collar or tags, no working microchip, no tattoos.
She's an older (think 5-8yrs) purebred chocolate lab. 60 pounds, but more the English style—short, stocky, blocky head. Looks like she may have had puppies in the past (has the belly pouch), some greying around the lips and paws. SUPER sweet, knows quite a few commands. In good health and appears to be housebroken.

Found Female Kitten (tortie) Pioneer Park March 23, 2008
On 3/23, in the evening, a small cat or kitten (vet estimates 9 months old) was following my girlfriend and I around Pioneer Park. It was meowing constantly in a distressed way and was very affectionate when we stopped to pet her. As can be seen from the pic, she's tortoiseshell colored ("tortie" for short).
The cat looked hungry so we're feeding it for now.
[UPDATE] I wanted to make sure she was ok, so I've taken her to the vet and had her tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS (both negative). I started her shots, got her ears cleaned (she had some gunk in there), de-wormed, flea treatment etc... We even bathed the dirt off her fur, so she's in like-new condition hehe. She's a little underweight, but eating well.
She is so amazingly affectionate, I know she has to belong to someone. Maybe the owners are away for Spring Break? Please, if you've lost your kitty and/or recognize the photos, help me pair her with her owner. If she isn't claimed by next Wednesday, I may just keep this adorable little girl for myself. I'm pretty sure it is a pet rabbit and not a wild one, it is black with a white spot and seems to be very comfortable with humans. I have a cat and so can't take it in. October 7, 2007s A large all white male dog (maybe Husky mix)w/yellowish eyes was running on I-505 southbound. He was brought to Animal Service Shelter/SPCA in Woodland on E.Gibson Rd. He was not wearing a collar but walked fine on a leash. He had a great temperment, just a little scared. Was able to feed him and give him water w/ease. I was driving thru the area from Washington to the Bay Area, so thought it was best to bring him to a local shelter rather than one in the bay area.

1/4/05 around 11 AM Berryessa Area Napa/Solono/Yolo County Backroads Found a SWEET big black dog comming from Capell Valley 121/128 as I was heading to Winters. This dog is obviously someones, and I am sure they want her back. She is a sweet girl with long black hair hair, bouncy for her size...and gets along pretty well with my dog. I live at the Capell Vally Estates (the 3 way mark of Steele Canyon, Monticello Rd, and Capell Valley in Napa County. This morning I was on my way to work, I work in Novato (Marin County) and the way I would normally go was blocked off because of the mud slides and all...so I had to make the trip all the way to Winters to get on I-80 to go to work... ANYWAY!! This dog was wet, confused, and had almost gotten' hit by someone in a big hurry. A CalTrans guy and I stopped, I said I would try to see if the dog would get in my truck...so I opened up my truck door and she came up to it and kind of sat there...so I got out of the truck and she was just so sweet, she rolled over on her back and wiggled. She acted like she wanted to get in the truck, but wasent too sure about it, so I had to pick up the big girl and put her in. (Long black wet dog hair...you gotta love em'!) So, she is fine...dry...fed...at work with me at my group home I run in Novato. I'll be going home tonight up that way.
